SOUTH KINGSTOWN, R.I. (WPRI) - The case involving a Connecticut mother accused of killing her toddler in 2002 returns to court Tuesday.
Kimberly Mawson's ex-boyfriend, Daniel Fusco, is reportedly trying to block his former lawyer from taking the stand at a new trial, according to our News Partners at the Providence Journal .
Mawson was granted a new trial in September based on Fusco's former lawyer, Richard Corley's testimony - reportedly claiming that Fusco admitted he was responsible for the injuries that ultimately killed 19-month old, Jade Mawson.
Fusco says he never waived the attorney-client privilege that would allow Corley to testify.
