RICHMOND, R.I. (WPRI) - Police are investigating a fatal car crash happening in Richmond Thursday afternoon.
The crash happened on Route 95 South near Exit 3 around 1:30 p.m.
Authorities tell Eyewitness News that a car veered off the highway, crashed into the woods and became engulfed in flames.
The driver of the vehicle died as a result of the crash, police said.
The victim's identity has not been released.
No word on what caused the crash.
No other details are being released at this time.
