NORTH KINGSTOWN, R.I. (WPRI) – One woman was killed after her car struck a tree stump in North Kingstown.
The accident happened just after 9:00 p.m. Saturday night on Annaquatucket Rd. at Barolay Dr.
Police said a 41-year-old woman from North Kingstown had to be extracted from the car using the Jaws of Life.
She was transported to Rhode Island Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
Officials said the accident is still under investigation and believe that no other vehicles were involved.
The identity of the victim is not being released at this time.
