NK company not closing after all

Wilson's was scheduled to be auctioned off Friday

NORTH KINGSTOWN, R.I. (WPRI) - It appears Wilson's of Wickford will not be auctioned off after all.

The company has been a fixture is North Kingstown's historic Wickford Village for nearly 70 years.

The clothing store a faced foreclosure auction by the Washington Trust Co. on Friday.

Craig Wilson tells Eyewitness News the company has taken legal action and plans to remain open for a long time.

The Wilson family thanks the community for the outpouring of support.

Three generations of the Wilson family have run the business on Brown Street.
