NARRAGANSETT, R.I. (WPRI) -- The Narragansett Police Department is seeking the public's help in identifying a man accused of stealing a wallet and using the victim's debit card to withdraw cash.
Police say the suspect took the wallet from a sleeping victim at 8 Aspen Drive in Narragansett. He then used the debit card in the wallet to make two separate withdrawals from the victim's bank account: first at the Citizens Bank ATM, located at 90 Point Judith Road, and then at the Cumberland Farms branch located at 865 Point Judith Road.
The suspect was captured on video surveillance at the Citizens Bank ATM, and is seen operating a white, older-model Jeep Grand Cherokee with a six-digit, wave-style Rhode Island license plate.
Anyone with any information regarding the suspect is asked to contact the Narragansett Police Department at (401) 789-1091.
