HOPKINTON, R.I. (WPRI) - Firefighters were on the scene of an oil spill outside a Hopkinton home Tuesday night.
The owner of the Maxson Hill Road home says the tank was rusted on the bottom, and started leaking oil. The oil then seeped into the ground, and some went under the house.
It's not clear how much oil was in the tank.
Ashaway firefighters were investigating the spill.
