WAKEFIELD, R.I. (WPRI) - The lawyer for Terri Serra, a former Chariho school committee member, accused of violating the state's social host law, is asking a judge to dismiss her case.
Lawyer Robert B. Mann argued that the social host law is vague and can leave an adult without specifics on how to comply.
Serra is accused of not doing enough to stop a party behind her home, and failure to render assistance at a car crash that injured four students in October of 2011.
Serra resigned from the Chariho School Committee as a result of the charge related to the crash.
