JAMESTOWN, R.I. (WPRI) - Coast Guard crews pulled a man from the water in Narragansett Bay, Sunday.
A good Samaritan placed the 911 around 4 p.m. and both the Jamestown Fire Department and the Coast Guard responded.
The 30-year-old man was rescued at 4:30 p.m. He was taken to Newport Hospital to be evaluated.
"A good assessment by the Sector as well as a quick response by the station helped save this man's life," said Petty Officer 1st Class Seth Caron, the operational unit controller at Sector Southeastern New England.
