SOUTH KINGSTOWN, R.I. (WPRI) - Eyewitness news spoke with an explosives expert at the University of Rhode Island to get a sense of the approach used by bomb squad members in Colorado on Saturday.
Professor Jimmie Oxley said the URI explosives lab holds bomb sniffing devices and bottle screening equipment similar to what crews in Colorado used to help carry out controlled and gentle detonations.
