COVENTRY, R.I. (WPRI) -- The Central Coventry Fire Department will be holding their annual "Fill the Boot" drive to benefit local families in need.

The department is currently in receivership, and the firefighters tell The Providence Journal that they won't be able to go above and beyond the public's donations, such as buying Thanksgiving or Christmas turkeys.

The department will be holding out their boots in high-traffic areas this Saturday.
