CHARLESTOWN, R.I. (WPRI) - A Providence man is in critical condition after being struck by an Acela train.
Nary Morales was hit Sunday afternoon on the railroad tracks near Driftwood Drive in Charlestown.
According to The Providence Journal , the 25-year-old climbed on to the railroad bridge to jump in the Pawcatuck River for a swim.
The train was reportedly going 95 miles per hour at the time of the incident.
