KINGSTON, R.I. (WPRI) -- Major cable network AMC is headed to Rhode Island for an open casting call for a new show scheduled to air on their channel.

The show is a docuseries based on small towns and their hidden talents.

It's called "Road Show." Not to be confused, of course, with WPRI's "The Rhode Show" that airs weekday mornings on Providence's CBS affiliate.

The open casting call is being held Friday, December 14, from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Courthouse Center Stage in Kingston.

According to Story Vision Entertainment, there will be a winner of each talent show in select cities across America and they will receive a cash prize of $10,000!

AMC said those auditioning must come to the casting call with at least two acts to perform.

"If you are the town mechanic, baker or candlestick maker, and have a special talent come and try out! Magicians, jugglers, dancers, singers, comedians, ventriloquists, musicians and more are welcome. Any job and any and all talents qualify for the open call audition!" said AMC on their website.
