REHOBOTH, MASS. (WPRI)- A Rehoboth man is facing multiple charges after police say he stole his girlfriend's vehicle and crashed it onto a front lawn.
According to police, Jeremy Beaudette stole his girlfriend's 2012 Kia Soul without her permission Friday.
The car's owner called police and said her boyfriend stole her car and was driving with a suspended license.
Police contacted Beaudette by cell phone who said he would be returning to the home with the car shortly.
When he arrived, Beaudette told police he had left the car on Rocky Hill Road. Police found the vehicle at the intersection of Tremont St. and Agricultural Avenue on the front lawn of a home.
The car had been involved in a crash there.
Beaudette was taken into custody and charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, leaving the scene of an accident, and operating under the influence of alcohol.
He is due in Taunton District Court on Monday.
