WESTPORT, Mass. (WPRI) -- If you decide to visit Horseneck Beach next summer, you'll be paying a little more money for the trip.

A new $1 surcharge has been added to admission and parking charges at the Westport destination.

The money collected will be deposited in a trust fund that can be used for maintenance and public safety at the beach.

The surcharge will go into effect on Nov. 30.
