SWANSEA, Mass. (WPRI) -- A Rehoboth man received a late Christmas gift this year in the form of a Powerball ticket worth $1 million.

Antonio DaSilva came forward Friday as the holder of the winning ticket, which was bought at the Cumberland Farms on Grand Army Highway in Swansea.

DaSilva's ticket matched the first five numbers, but not the Powerball number. He's elected to take the lump sum payment of $700,000, and told the Mass. State Lottery that he intends to take a vacation, purchase an inexpensive vehicle, make some repairs to his home, and invest for his retirement.

The store received a $10,000 commission on the sale.
