Police hunting for bank robbery suspect

Credit union held up Thursday in Fall River

SWANSEA, Mass. (WPRI) -- Police are on the lookout for a male suspect after a Swansea bank was robbed Thursday afternoon.

The man entered the Fall River Municipal Credit Union, located at 755 GAR Hwy, at about 12:30 p.m. and handed the teller a note demanding money. He then fled the area on foot with an undetermined amount of cash.

The suspect is described as a clean-shaven white male in his late twenties or early thirties, standing about 5'7" and weighing approximately 150 pounds. At the time of the crime, he was wearing a black baseball hat, a dark-colored sweatshirt, jeans, and sunglasses.

Anyone with information about the suspect's identity is asked to contact Det. Patrick Mooney or Ptlm. Chris Ball of the Swansea Police Department.
