SEEKONK, Mass. (WPRI) -- Police have confirmed a man arrested at a Seekonk motel is a person of interest in the "Bearded Bandit" robberies, and is due in court Thursday.
Seekonk police arrested Justin Worley, 33, at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Motel 6 on Fall River Avenue in Seekonk. Several police departments and the FBI were involved.
Police believe he had been residing at the motel.
Worley is charged with armed robbery, a fugitive from justice charge and two drug charges.
The robbery charge is related to a bank robbery that occurred at the Bank of America on Fall River Avenue in Seekonk back in February.
The fugitive from justice charge comes as Worley is wanted by East Providence police for two bank robberies.
The "Bearded Bandit" is wanted in as many as nine robberies in Rhode Island and Massachusetts since February .
Motel 6 employee Kyle Amaral said that police showed him a picture of the suspect before they surrounded the motel.
"He's been here for about a few months," he added. "I usually talk to his girlfriend because he leaves her here by herself, and she never knows what he was up to."
According to police, a pair of vehicles were spotted at the motel that matched the description of two vehicles linked to the bandit.
"He has a little kid, and he always walks around with her, and he doesn't seem like that type of guy that would've done this," said Amaral. "But you never judge a book by its cover."
Worley is expected in Taunton District Court on Thursday.
