SEEKONK, Mass. (WPRI) -- A middle school teacher in Seekonk has been arrested on charges of child enticement.
Police arrested Marco Correia, 27, a former teacher at Hurley Middle School, Friday on charges of enticing a child under the age of 16 and accosting and annoying a person of the opposite sex.
The interim superintendent tells Eyewitness News Correia was placed under administrative leave after she received a complaint a couple of weeks ago, and that Correia resigned from teaching at the school soon after.
Correia was held on $5,000 bail and has been scheduled for a pre-trial hearing on Nov. 7.
