NORTH ATTLEBORO, Mass. (WPRI) – A retired police officer is accused of stealing nearly five-thousand dollars from coin-operated kiddie rides.
The Sun Chronicle reports that the man was working for a company that maintains the rides inside the Emerald Square Mall.
Police say that 52-year-old Drew Franson is a retired Falmouth Police officer, and allegedly stole the money between April and July of this year.
Franson pled not guilty to the charges, and was released on personal recognizance.
He is due back in court in January.
