FOXBORO, Mass. (WPRI) – The Patriots and the Ravens are not the only ones practicing for Sunday’s AFC title game, the Patriots Cheerleaders will be firing-up fans from the sidelines.

The Patriots cheerleaders are pumped up, for the third year veteran cheerleader Stephanie Petronelli will be cheering on the Pats in the AFC title game.

“We love cheering them on and we’re so excited for the game this weekend and potentially with the chance to go the Super Bowl. It’s an amazing opportunity and we’re so thankful to be a part of it,” said Stephanie.

As much as she loves her job, Stephanie says it is much easier to work for a winner like the Patriots.

“We are truly so lucky. Our season goes so much longer than most teams. So as a cheerleader it gives you a lot more to jump around and be excited about.”

“We’re just lucky to be in the championship and a lot of other cheerleaders don’t get to do that,” said second year Patriots cheerleader Jodi Ricci.

The playoff atmosphere is brand new for Lisa Marie Ianuzzi, a rookie from New Jersey who just joined the team last summer.

"The New England fans have warmly welcomed me. Just dancing with these girls and being a part of such an amazing organization has been a dream of mine," said Lisa.

All 24 of the Patriots cheerleaders will cheer on the sidelines at this Sunday’s AFC title game.
