Mass. man accused of beating 1-month-old
Matthew Johnston faces child abuse charges

NORTH ATTLEBORO, Mass. (WPRI) - A North Attleboro man is due in court to answer to serious child abuse charges.
According to The Sun Chronicle, Matthew Johnson, 22, assaulted a 1-month-old girl that he was babysitting with his girlfriend.
Police said the baby suffered a brain injury and had several bruises and broken bones.
Johnson's girlfriend is expected to face child endangerment charges.
According to the paper, the girl was the daughter of a friend.
