SEEKONK, MASS. (WPRI) - The “School of Rock” celebrated it’s newest location in Seekonk on Saturday.

The event began with the owner Phil Martelly conducting the official “guitar smashing” ceremony.

The Providence Bruins mascot “Samboni” was also on hand to help commemorate the event.

Samboni was available to meet fans and pose for photos while guests enjoyed performances from local music artists.

The School of Rock operates more than 90 music schools across the United States.
