NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (WPRI) - A fire forced the evacuation of a Burger King restaurant in New Bedford Tuesday night.

It broke out around 8 p.m. at the fast-food chain's Cove Road location.

Firefighters say there was smoke and flames coming from the building when they arrived on the scene.

It took them about 45 minutes to bring the fire under control.

No injuries were reported.

Crews were still looking for the cause of the fire early Wednesday morning.
