NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (WPRI) - A man was arrested inside the New Bedford Police station Wednesday after he walked in with a loaded gun in his pocket.

18-year-old Craig Gebo showed up to the station to report a Facebook threat.

He told the desk officer that a woman threatened to get several men to shoot him because he owed her money.

Gebo caught the attention of other nearby officers when he claimed that he would shoot the men first.

They asked Gebo if he had a gun. He said that he had one on him and admitted that he didn't have a license.

Police say they took from him a loaded .25-caliber Beretta semiautomatic handgun with obliterated serial numbers.

Gebo was arraigned in New Bedford District Court Thursday and ordered held without bail until a dangerousness hearing scheduled for January 16.
