FALL RIVER, Mass. (WPRI) – Fall River Police have arrested a man after he allegedly shot a man in the head Saturday evening.
Brandon Lee Perez, 20, was taken into custody shortly after a 38-year-old man was found shot in the back of the head on Grove Street.
Police tell Eyewitness News the two men knew each other.
Perez was taken into custody without incident and charged with armed assault to murder, home invasion, armed assault in a dwelling, assault and battery weapon causing substantial injury, discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a building, possession of a firearm without FID card, and carrying a firearm without a license.
Perez was held without bail over the weekend.
He is scheduled to be arraigned Monday in Fall River District Court.
The victim was transported to Rhode Island Hospital where he remains in critical but stable condition.
