FALL RIVER, Mass. (WPRI) -- A Somerset woman accused of of hitting a state police cruiser while driving drunk appeared in court Monday.
At her arraignment, Laurie Lacle, 48, had a not guilty plea entered on her behalf to numerous charges, including driving under the influence and leaving the scene of an accident.
Police said Lacle was intoxicated when her SUV crashed into a Massachusetts State Police cruiser on Route 195 early Saturday morning. According to police, she kept driving.
The trooper inside the cruiser suffered a minor leg injury.
Lacle was released on personal recognizance, and ordered to return to court in September.
