FALL RIVER, Mass. (WPRI) - A man accused of using pepper spray while robbing a Fall River store remains on the run.
Police released surveillance video of the incident at the Stop & Save on Rock Street.
The video shows the suspect spraying the clerk with something from an aerosol can, then grabbing the cash register and slamming it to the floor.
The clerk is seen trying to help open the register, but the suspect was then spotted stomping it repeatedly.
The suspect eventually fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash.
The owner of the store said that was the first time anything like that had happened, and it has left him on edge.
Anyone with information about the suspect is asked to call the Fall River Police Department.
