FALL RIVER, Mass. (AP) -- A Fall River man prosecutors say shot a woman in the head, searched through her pockets, then left her slumped behind the wheel of her still running car, has been ordered held without bail.
Brandyn LePage faces a murder charge in connection with the Sept. 29 death of Aja Pascual, in what prosecutors say was a drug deal gone awry.
The Herald News reports that a judge Thursday ordered the 20-year-old LePage held pending his appearance in Superior Court.
Prosecutors say LePage intended to buy cocaine from Pascual, a known dealer.
Investigators were led to LePage though cellphone calls the pair had made to each other in the period before the shooting. They say they also found Pascual's blood on one of LePage's shirts.
