FALL RIVER, Mass. (WPRI) -- Police in Fall River have solved a homicide case 19 months after the crime occurred.

Hiram Gonzalez, 43, has been officially charged for the murder of Brian Januario, which occurred back in March of 2011. A passerby found his body in the area of 724 Wilson Road, and it was later determined that he had been shot to death.

Gonzalez was originally arrested in April 2011 on charges of accessory to murder and misleading investigators. He's now been officially charged with murder, as well as accessory to murder before the fact and armed robbery.

"We are vehemently resolved to solve every single homicide that takes place in Bristol County," said District Attorney Sam Sutter in a statement. "I hope this message is received loudly and clearly by the criminals in Bristol County: Commit a violent act and we are not going to rest until you are under arrest."

He's been held on $25,000 bail since his arrest. His arraignment date has not yet been scheduled.
