FALL RIVER, Mass. (AP) -- A former Taunton High School eighth-grade teacher accused of having sex with two 14-year-old students has been given permission by a judge to work part time in Rhode Island.
The Taunton Daily Gazette reports that a judge Thursday ruled that 33-year-old Patrick Doyle must first contact his probation officer before driving from his Seekonk home into Rhode Island where he plans on doing odd jobs for his family.
Doyle is free on $150,000 bail and wears a GPS device.
He has pleaded not guilty to charges including rape and enticing a child under the age of 16.
He is accused having sex with one student at his house and with another student on school grounds. He has been fired.
His lawyer has said evidence in the case is weak.
