Bus crash caused by medical episode

Driver was flown to Boston Medical Center

GEORGETOWN, Mass. (WPRI) – Police believe the driver of a bus that was carrying the University of Maine woman’s basketball team had a medical episode which caused the bus to crash.

The bus ran off of Route 95 just North of Boston on Tuesday night.

The driver was flown to Boston Medical Center with unknown injuries. One of the players also suffered a broken hand and is hospitalized and in serious condition.

The head coach was also treated for facial cuts.
