DOUGLAS, Mass. (WPRI) -- A man facing several charges related to the death of a North Smithfield woman has pleaded not guilty.
Robert Grenier appeared in court Wednesday to face charges of manslaughter, DUI, and driving with a suspended license.
Police say he was driving 90 mph when he crashed into a utility pole on Route 16 in Douglas.
His girlfriend, Patricia Gurka, died as a result of the crash.
Officers said Grenier claimed that he was the passenger when the crash occurred. He's currently being held on $200,000 bail.
