DOUGLAS, Mass. (WPRI) - An accused drunk driver faces a judge.

Robert Grenier, 47, was back in court on Friday.

He's charged with drunk driving and vehicular homicide.

Police say Grenier crashed into a utility pole on Saturday in Douglas, Massachusetts, killing his girlfriend, Patricia Gurka, of North Smithfield.

The judge ordered Grenier held without bail because of prior assault and battery and dui charges.

He's scheduled to be back in court on September 12.
