PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) - Hurricane Earl is the topic of conversation across Southern New England, but even as late at Thursday evening, it was easy to find storm skeptics.
"I'm not worried at all," Didi Giovo of Johnston said. "What are you talking about? What hurricane?"
"I'm not worried about no hurricane man," King Nicolas, who's visiting from Dorchester, MA said. "We're having a good time!"
With one last summer heat wave baking the region, others said it was just too nice to worry.
"It's a beautiful day," Karen Rowley, a visitor from Wareham said. "It's probably going to be the last day of 95 degrees that we're gonna get for another year!"
