PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) - A Providence middle school administrator is on leave following accusations of "improper conduct."

Officials will not say what the allegations are but did tell Eyewitness News that police are not currently involved.

The incident allegedly happened at Roger Williams Middle School and did not include children.

The Providence School Department released a statement saying, "we recently learned of allegations of improper conduct by one of our school administrators. It is important to make clear that these allegations did not involve or impact students in any way."

The investigation into this incident is being conducted internally. The administrator has been placed on leave but not terminated.
