PROVIDENCE, RI (WPRI)- - Escaped convict Nayquan Gadson is still on the run Thursday night, 48 hours after his escape from the ACI.

An active search continues tonight after Gadson tricked a prison guard into believing he was another inmate.

According to police this is not the first time Gasdon was able to escape from custody. Two years ago he managed to escape from the training school housing facility.

The last inmate to escape before Gadson was Scott Kelly Hanson back in 1998.

Before Hanson, Gene Travis escaped in 1996. Both were caught a short time later.

Nayquan Gadson is believed to extremely dangerous. Since 2007 he has been arrested 15 times are many varying charges.

If you have any information on where Gadson may be you are asked to contact police.
