PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI)- A half mile stretch of Broad Street was transformed into a giant pedestrian and bike path Sunday.
It was all part of the Cyclovia Providence event, which promotes exercise within the community.
A local dance academy was on hand to give participants a free taste of Zumba.
"I think it's wonderful to try and share my knowledge and to share it with anyone. If I can inspire one person to start living a healthier life then my job is complete", dance instructor Angela Mendez-Pontarelli said.
Sunday's event was organized by the city of Providence in partnership with the Providence Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Commission.
