WPRI named News Station of the Year

WPRI.com, Target 12 Also Honored

EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) -- WPRI has been named the News Station of the Year by the Associated Press. It marks the ninth consecutive year Eyewitness News has earned the title.

The award was announced at a ceremony Friday evening in Newton, Massachusetts.

The AP also honored WPRI.com as News Website of the Year.

Target 12 Investigator Tim White won an AP award for his Feel the Burn series, while Walt Buteau took home an award for his Street Stories segment.
