PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) - Providence police are investigating a pair of overnight rollovers.

Three cars were involved in each accident.

The first happened just after 1:00am Saturday at the intersection of Chalkstone and River Avenues. One car was flipped on its side and sandwiched between two other vehicles. The victims were taken to the hospital in unknown condition.

The second accident happened a short time later at Thurburs and Allens Avenues. At least two people were transported to the hospital with unkown injuries. The other victims were treated at the scene for minor injuries.

It is not known if the rainy weather played a factor in either wreck.
