PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) - Pawtucket Rep. William San Bento has been officially declared the winner of the District 58 primary race by a single vote.

The lawyer for his Democratic challenger, Carlos Tobon, went before the Board of Elections Wednesday morning to ask for a manual recount, but his request was denied.

Multiple recounts were held Monday with multiple results, including one tie. The final tally showed the incumbent ahead by one vote.
