PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) - If you won't be around to cast a ballot in the state primary on Sept. 11, you have a couple more days to ask for a mail ballot.
Secretary of State Ralph Mollis says Tuesday is the deadline to apply for a mail ballot.
Registered voters who can't make it to the polls on the day of the primary may ask their local board of canvassers for a mail ballot.
There are primary races this year in several General Assembly districts and in both congressional districts.
Mollis' office says more than 2,300 voters have already applied for mail ballots.
