PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Rhode Island Department of Health is warning people to be careful of possible toxins in Watson Reservoir in Little Compton.
Health officials are urging individuals to avoid contact with the water affected by blue-green algae blooms.
Treated tap water is safe to drink but people should not swim boat or fish in the reservoir.
Pets also should not drink this water or swim in it.
This is the second time this year Little Compton has experienced algae blooms.
