PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) -- Providence Water Department crews are preparing to fix a minor break in a main in the Washington Park neighborhood -- but not until later Monday afternoon, they said.
The break is at the intersection of Carolina Ave. and Virginia Ave., and cutting off the water to the 8-inch main would cut off water to two buildings in the area, including a business that employs 150 people.
The broken pipe is being allowed to flow until repairs begin about 4:30 Monday afternoon. Residents in the neighborhood are being told they may experience low water pressure while crews work on the problem.
