PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) - A local non-profit group is helping teachers stock up their classrooms.
A Providence warehouse is selling school supplies by the pound.
The warehouse inside the Hathaway Center offers up all the classroom essentials from notebooks to storage containers without the high cost.
It collects excess and damaged school supplies from companies, making them available to teachers who often buy their own items for just 40 cents a pound.
