UK man sentenced for child porn in RI

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) - A British man was sentenced to five years in federal prison and faces possible deportation, for possessing child pornography in Rhode Island.

29-year-old Paul Hutchinson, who resides in Barrington, pleaded guilty in January to charges of possessing and receiving child pornography.

Investigators say they have evidence that Hutchinson downloaded about 5,800 images and 144 videos depicting child pornography on his computer.

At his sentencing Wednesday, Hutchinson was also ordered to serve ten years of supervised release following his prison term, and to pay $3,800 in restitution to one of the victims depicted in his child pornography collection.
