PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) - Providence will hold five informational sessions on the city's $40 million road repair bond proposal.

The first meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday at Esek Hopkins Middle School on Charles Street.

City officials will explain to the public how they selected roads for improvement and how the bond will work if it is approved.

Residents will be asked to vote on the bond at the general election on November 6.
