PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) -- One of the teenage suspects accused in a triple-homicide in Providence will be tried as an adult.

According to the Attorney General's office, Family Court Judge Kathleen Voccola waived 16-year-old Quandell Husband of Providence out of Family Court Friday.  The move makes it possible for him to be tried as an adult.

Husband and another juvenile are accused of murdering Shemeeka Barrows, Michael Martin, and Damien Colon in a General Street apartment on July 30th.

Husband was arraigned in District Court Friday afternoon.  He faces three counts of murder, three counts of using a firearm during a crime of violence, and one count of conspiracy to commit robbery.

At a news conference held in August to announce the arrests of the two suspects, Providence Police Chief Hugh Clements said the motive for the crime was robbery.

The second suspect has not yet been identified and the case is still before the Family Court.
