PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) -- The Renaissance Providence Hotel is getting a little more colorful -- with a sticky, though temporary, situation.

To celebrate the hotel's fifth anniversary, a few local artists, including Michael Townsend and Collin Bliss, were commissioned to wrap the building in a one-of-a-kind tape art exhibit -- creating pictures out of masking and other types of tape.

The top and Francis Street side of the building has now become a canvas to show off things the city has to offer, as well as pay tribute to elements of the city's past.

Townsend and Bliss were also responsible for the unusual project of creating a secret apartment in the rafters of Providence Place Mall a few years ago.
