Special Olympics honors HOF inductees

People, businesses recognized for their service

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) - The Special Olympics honored several individuals and groups Thursday night for their service to the program.

The people, families, and organizations were inducted into the Special Olympics' Rhode Island Hall of Fame, during a banquet at the Rhode Island Convention Center.

The inductees included:

  • Dunkin Donuts
  • Former Major League Baseball player Bill Almon and his wife Kate
  • Lisa McKay
  • Henry Moretti
  • Michael Goldberger
  • Saul Fern
  • The Turgeon Family
  • The Giguere Family
  • Maggie Sebastian

Eyewitness News Anchor Mike Montecalvo hosted the event.
