PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) - Gas prices in Rhode Island are down for the ninth week in a row.
According to AAA of Southern New England, the average cost of a gallon of unleaded fuel is $3.54.
That's a six cent decrease from last week and a $.43 decrease since prices peaked April 16.
But, it's still $.04 above the national average of $3.50 a gallon.
At this time last year, Rhode Islanders were paying about $3.79 a gallon.
